Final Dance Recital

Isabella had her end of the year dance recital yesterday morning. It was so nice! They rented the performing arts auditorium of one of the area high schools. It was large enough to fit everyone comfortably, but cozy enough to see our little ballerina very well. She was amazing! She followed Ms. Rebecca's lead and danced along for the ballet and tap numbers. She did such a great job. And she smiled the whole time. We were very proud of her. And Ione had a blast watching all the dancers on stage. She bounced along to the music and clapped after each performance ended. When she saw Isabella come on stage with her red tutu, she yelled "BaBa" for her big sister. It was lots of fun. The girls in her dance class get along so well, we exchanged numbers and addresses and plan to have play dates together this summer.

Ione's First Birthday

We went "home" to Lafayette to celebrate Ione's big day. It was wonderful because her grandparents were there and lots of friends too. She ate cake like a pro and had a blast opening her presents. Even without taking her usual 2 1/2 hour nap, she was as happy as could be. It was a wonderful day!!

It's Been a While...
