Happy Halloween!
YAY! It's Halloween! We've got a busy day ahead. We're going to IHOP for free pancakes with friends. Then we're headed to dance class where Isabella gets to perform in her costume. She's very excited because Daddy will be there to see her dance during his lunch break. After nap time, we're going to make treats (either a cobbler or brownies) for our Halloween block party tonight. And lastly, the Sugar Plum Fairy and Wonder Woman will head out for trick-or-treating, to collect candy that they will most likely expect to eat for breakfast tomorrow morning.
*I know it looks like they are ruining the kitchen table, but there is actually a layer of "Press-n-Seal" stuck to it. Clean-up was a breeze!

Dewberry Farm
We went to Dewberry Farm again this year with our playgroup. It was so much fun! The weather was gorgeous, but way too windy. Everyone had runny noses by noon! The girls started out by climbing Fort Dew Hickey. Next, we moved on to the hayride out to the pumpkin patch. Each kiddo was able to get out and choose their own pumpkin to take home. The girls then jumped and bounced on big inflatable thing-ies until we noticed a little tractor train nearby. The girls took a little "train" ride aroud the fields. We spent a little time in the kids play area before we called it a day. It was lots of fun and the girls were so worn out when we left, they were both asleep well before we got home.
Photo Shoot

The girls had a photo shoot with a wonderful photographer. We started off at a local shopping spot for some "urban" pics, then moved over to a quiet park for some softer shots. They did really well, especially since the shoot lasted about an hour and a half. They were in good spirits and cooperative for the most part! Here are a couple of sample pictures from the photographer.

Punkin Pickin'
We went to the Pumpkin Patch with our playgroup about a week and a half ago. Then Allie took Isabella to a pumpkin patch in Mandeville to get "baby pumpkins" for her and Ione. On Saturday afternoon, we went again (this time with Daddy) to choose a big pumpkin to carve for Halloween. Whew! That's lots of punkin pickin'!
Picture Day
Today was school picture day for Isabella. I wanted to get her picture by the front door before we left for school. She had already put on her jacket, so you can't see her whole dress. Ione waned to stand next to her, so the two of them held hands for pictures. They can be so sweet to each other sometimes!
Kittens!
Nonnie's cat had kittens, and they are living in the playhouse in her back yard. The girls got to hold them when we went to Lafayette last weekend. They were 3 weeks old at the time. They were just starting to move around a little bit more. We even saw them wrestle with each other. Isabella and Ione were both very careful not to squeeze too hard. Ione was very proud that she was able to hold baby kittens by herself. Isabella was a great "babysitter" while the mommy cat was taking a break.

Fire Station!
We went with our playgroup to the Fire Station this morning. The firemen were very friendly and helpful. The gave all the kids fireman hats and sticker badges to wear. They got to walk through an ambulance and a big fire truck. They even had the ladder truck set up and did a demonstration where they extended the ladder and a fireman walked all the way out to the bucket at the end, 105 feet in the air! One of the rookie firemen showed the kids how he puts on his fireman suit. He even put on an oxygen tank that made him sound like Darth Vader. Isabella was not scared of him at all. She even shook his hand! Ione loved seeing him way up in the sky. She waved and yelled, "Hi" to him. The girls really enjoyed themselves.
After we left the fire station, we went to a nearby park to have a picnic with our friends. The girls played on the slide and swings and relaxed in the shade for a while. The weather was beautiful today, so it was a perfect day to spend outside.
