Fire Station!

We went with our playgroup to the Fire Station this morning. The firemen were very friendly and helpful. The gave all the kids fireman hats and sticker badges to wear. They got to walk through an ambulance and a big fire truck. They even had the ladder truck set up and did a demonstration where they extended the ladder and a fireman walked all the way out to the bucket at the end, 105 feet in the air! One of the rookie firemen showed the kids how he puts on his fireman suit. He even put on an oxygen tank that made him sound like Darth Vader. Isabella was not scared of him at all. She even shook his hand! Ione loved seeing him way up in the sky. She waved and yelled, "Hi" to him. The girls really enjoyed themselves.

After we left the fire station, we went to a nearby park to have a picnic with our friends. The girls played on the slide and swings and relaxed in the shade for a while. The weather was beautiful today, so it was a perfect day to spend outside.
