We went back to Lafayette for Mardi Gras. Kevin was able to make it out to the parades for the first time in a few years. It took Isabella only a matter of minutes to figure out how to yell for beads. She seemed to have a really great time. Ione seemed to enjoy her first Mardi Gras. Surprisingly, she wasn't afraid of the loud noise from the police sirens or marching bands. She rode in the backpack carrier on Dad's back while the floats passed. Nearly the whole time she yelled and made noise too. Unfortunately, she got smacked by some beads, but she recovered pretty quickly. Scroll down for more photos.
